All Cries Holy.

One of the scriptures that I love to dwell on when I am painting comes from Romans Chapter One:

"For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse." Romans 1:19-20

I love to paint God's creation, because everything that God has made declares His glory, His majesty, His love. Everything. So much so, that we are, as Paul writes, "without excuse." Creation bears clear witness that there is a God, and He is wonderful.

As I walk outside or sit by a window with my coffee in the morning, as I drive to work in the warm light of the sunrise or watch as my friends fill my home for small groups on Tuesday nights, I see Him. The beauty of His creation has been declaring His goodness ever since it was spoken into existence, right under our noses.

This first collection titled "All Cries Holy" is an invitation to pause long enough to look for God in His creation, a masterpiece so intentionally and beautifully made for you. To notice the colors, the flowers, the smiles, the tastes and smells and all the things that you love. The God of the universe can be found in all that is lovely. I hope these pieces remind you that He is so near to you, that He does not hide from you, but rather deeply longs that you know Him intimately.
